About Mind Matters Psychology

Mind Matters Psychology Gippsland was formed in 2017 and has since provided contracted assessment and therapy services.

 

In 2019 Mind Matters opened a newly renovated private psychology practice in Traralgon dedicated to offering assessment and ongoing therapy services in Gippsland. Mind Matters focuses on providing evidence-based services in an environment designed to be inviting for children, adolescents, and adults.

Lisa Johnson

Clinical Psychologist

BPsychSc, GradDipEd, PGDipPsych, MPsych (Clinical), MAPS, FCCLP

 

Lisa is a registered Clinical Psychologist with a Clinical Psychology Masters degree. She has worked as a clinician providing assessment and therapy in community health, forensic, school, and private practice settings over the past ten years.

Lisa works with children, adolescents, and adults. She is experienced in the use of a variety of therapies with individuals and groups, including: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy, for a wide range of presenting difficulties. She also has training and experience in completing diagnostic, cognitive, and academic achievement testing.

 

Lisa is also interested in psychology teaching and training, and holds an active staff role in the Victoria University Clinical Psychology Masters program.

 

Originally from Gippsland, Lisa remains committed to providing psychological services in the region, and in 2015 received the Services for Australian Rural and Remote Allied Health (SARRAH) Clinical Psychology Scholarship.

 

Outside of work Lisa enjoys reading, fitness, nature, and spending time with her family and friends.
